Commisions?!?

Hi there everyone, under recommendation from a few people i have decided to put up a quick post to anyone out there that likes what I'm doing with my warhammer 40k miniatures and would be interested in me painting any for them.

I'm working on a portfolio at the moment so i wouldn't really be looking at charging, unless someone wants a whole army painted, but obviously anyone interested would have to cover shipping costs to get the models to me and back to themselves and a small charge for materials depending on the size of the project. Also i wouldn't be adverse to painting more than just warhammer 40k  miniatures, if you have blood bowl, battlefleet gothic, flames of war, spartan games, or any other miniature models you want me to paint for you i would be interested.

Eldar Dire Avengers

when i posted about these guys earlier today i stated i was going to have two squads with two different paint schemes, however seeing as im probably not going to field an eldar army and was only interested in painting these amazing miniatures i have decided to try out a different paint scheme on each model, i have finished 2 of the 10 models and 3 others are part way through, i have taken some pictures so please take a look and comment if you have any ideas for the 5 other models.

Busy times

As some of you already know that read my blog i have less than a week until me and my fiance are due to have our first baby, as such ive been very busy over the past few weeks getting prepared for imminent arrival of our baby. however, i will still be trying to keep my blog going and adding new things to it, this just may be less frequent. i hope that everyone understands and isnt too dissapointed!

runing on from that i have a few pictures on some miniatures im working on, Joe my friend has recently won me over with his eldar models and i thought that id try some out, enjoy;

Will hopefully get some more detal done on this first model tonight and maybe finish a few more, i plan to have two teams of five dire avengers and have two unique paint schemes, one will be the green you see above and another will be a white/black scheme, please feel free to comment!!

Bulk Painting Imperial Guard

Hi there guys ive been working on the rest of my imperial guardsmen and have just finished all of their fabric areas, i chose to bulk paint them by using a foundation coat and then successive highlights using a quick dry brushing technique, so here is the pic;

Due to the release of the new warhammer 40k rulebook and the impressive new rules that they have added you may be seeing quite a few different armies and units in my blog in the near future, one of the concepts I'm most looking forward to is the allied units selection option. this is where you can have a unit from another army included in your army, this depicts the different factions forming unsteady yet fortunate (and brief) alliances with one another in the face of overwhelming or catastrophic odds. this will be very fortuitous for my imperial guard army, if i understand the concept and rules correctly from what i have heard (as i dont own a copy of the new rulebook as of yet) then i will be able to include any troop choice from any of the armies available. as such, the fact that the imperial guard lack a close combat aspect, they will probably benefit from a squad of space marines close combat terminators or a squad or eldar banshees, or even a venerable dreadnaught with close combat weapons. the choises are infinate and mindblowing. so watch this space for more interesting posts and warhammer awesomeness!!

also, i have a picture of something im working on at the moment, its only in the very early stages of developement and as such i dont want to give too much away, but ive just converted my shed into a workshop specificaly for this project so that should give you some idea of the scale and epicness of the project!! so here is the pic, enjoy!!;

Valkyrie Base Progress

ive been working on the valkyrie scenic base that i had put together yesterday, ive undercoated the whole thing and started to paint the base and some of the models that are included on the base, here are the shots guys and gals!

Valkyrie scenic base

Hi there guys, been working on a scenic base for my valkyrie gunship today a big thanks to Joe for the amazing signs, mines and bombs ive used on this base, here are the pics so far of the base, enjoy and feel free to comment;

Busy Week

Hi all this week has been a very busy week for me and as such i havent been able to get any posts out, however, though it has been busy it has been productive and i now have enough wood to convert my shed into a workshop for many a project, this was courteous of my Dad, so dad, if your reading this, MANY MANY THANKS!!!!

Now for my update, i have a few things going on at the moment, i have started painting the metal seargent i showed you last week and here is a shot of that;

i have started one of my heavy weapons teams and i will be posting a seperate page with a walkthrough of how i paint them so that anyone wanting any tips and tricks on how i paint can have a go.

I also recieved some very interesting basing terrain from my good friend Joe Abberley, and my first thought of what to do with them was to jazz up the base for my valkyrie, so here is a shot of that, ill be putting up more shortly as its only part way done;

i also have a few other models that i bought a while ago, ill put pictures up and id love some suggestions of what to do with these models, paint? use for terrain? or something completely different??!!??
